Cradle cap (infantile or neonatal seborrhoeic dermatitis, also known as crusta lactea, milk crust, honeycomb disease) is a yellowish, patchy, greasy, scaly and crusty skin rash that occurs on the scalp of recently born babies. It is usually not itchy, and does not bother the baby. Cradle cap most commonly begins sometime in the first 3 months. Cradle Cap is very common among newborns and will pass all by itself if left untreated. It is, however, unsightly and if it progresses , it could dry the skin enough to cause cracking which can harbor bacteria and lead to infection.

Treatment is very simple.  Apply OGbaby Moisture Oil to the scalp.  Leave on overnight.
In the morning, cleanse baby's head gently with OGbaby Gentle Soap,  rub the scalp GENTLY to remove the softened scales, do not use your fingernails,  use soft brush, soft toothbrush (the vibrating kind works great) .and hen comb the scales out of the hair.   Baby's skin is very fragile, so go slowly, this may take more than one night.
If the cradle cap persists or increases, seek medical attention, it could be a fungal infection, which can requires a medical diagnosis and treatment.
